5 tips for better sleep

*Do not eat a large meal or snack within 2-3 hrs of bedtime. If this is unavoidable, be sure to elevate ur head w/ pillows. Eating a large meal b4 bedtme leads to GERD(gastroesophageal reflux disease)- occurs when food s pushed back up into the esophagus via stomach acids causing burning sensation, choking & coughing.
*Turn off electricity. 0 is the best number of electronic equipment 2 have n ur bedroom. Accdg 2 theories n physics, electrical charges fill our air & can disturb sleep coz they gave off high levels of electromagnetic energy.
*According to researchers, the best sleeping positions that put the least stress on your joints & organs are on your back or in the semifetal position...where U lay on one side w/ knees slightly bent, 1 arm outstretched above the head, d other resting comfortable on the opposing arm to cradle the head.
*Get yourself to bed @ a reasonable hour..dnt fight w/ sleep, get up & read till u feel sleepy. Or figure out how many hours of sleep your body operates best w/, & once U start getting that magic number, your hormones will readjust & both your sleep & weight will normalize.
*There are certain medical conditions that could be interfering w/ your sleep...such as apnea, PLMD...these are leg spasms, snoring or kicking movements, etc..and if U don't have this disorders, forget about ur problems in life before sleeping to give U a good & sound sleep.
